The high-pressure fuel pump (HPFP) for the BMW M3 G80 S58 twin-turbo engine is a cam-driven direct injection pump producing up to 350 bar. Symptoms of failure include rough idle, lean misfires, reduced power and fuel smell. This OEM replacement matches the S58 fuel delivery requirements at full boost.

2. Relieve fuel pressure by running engine until stall

4. Remove engine cover and intake

6. Disconnect fuel lines (have cloth ready)

10. Remove 3 mounting bolts (Torx T40)

12. Remove pump – note cam follower

14. Inspect cam lobe for wear

16. Install new pump with new O-ring lightly lubricated

18. Torque bolts in sequence to 12Nm

20. Reconnect and check for leaks.
