The rear air spring for the BMW X5 G05 forms the primary suspension spring element in the air suspension system. Perished bellows cause sagging on one corner and air compressor overwork. This OEM-spec replacement restores full ride height correction and load levelling.

2. Using BMW ISTA, switch to workshop mode to deflate suspension

4. Raise vehicle and support on stands

6. Remove rear wheel on affected side

8. Disconnect air line from spring (use release tool)

10. Compress spring using spring compressor

12. Remove lower mount bolt

14. Remove upper mount bolts from boot floor

18. Reconnect air line

20. Lower vehicle and use ISTA to re-inflate and calibrate.
