The E-Active Body Control front suspension strut for the Mercedes S-Class W223 is the pinnacle of automotive suspension technology. Using 48V electric motors, each strut actively counteracts body roll, dive and squat in real time. A failed unit causes warning lights and default passive suspension mode.

3. Use XENTRY to set service mode and deflate air spring

5. Disconnect 48V orange connector (safe discharge protocol required)

9. Remove lower ball joint bolt

11. Remove 3 upper strut nuts

13. Remove old strut

17. Torque all fasteners per spec
